Arbitration Petition
We have been instructed by the PSAC to circulate a petition for the next round of bargaining. If the TC Group (EG, DD, GT, TI)) does not get at least 10% of the members signatures for arbitration, then the route the TC group will take would be conciliation for the next round. If the TC Group does get 10% of signatures in favour of arbitration then the next stage of the process would be for all TC Group members to vote on the dispute route, Arbitration or Conciliation. The deadline date for the petition is January 22 2010. The local executives will be visiting our buildings in the New Year to circulate the petition. More... (Dec 18, 2009)
Financial Contribution
Our local made a financial contribution of $300.00 to help the PSAC Striking Museum Workers who have been on the picket line for some 80+ days. (Dec 18, 2009)

Launch of UEW Local 70712 Hardship Fund
The Executive of UEW Local 70712 is very pleased to announce a new initiative aimed at helping members of the Local who may be experiencing financial or personal difficulties. We all recognize these trying times may help contribute to individuals and their families finding themselves stressed over money issues, or relationship or family-related difficulties.
